I Made It!

I have finally arrived in Bangkok! I got in a little before midnight on Thursday night. By the time I got to my hotel, checked in and settled in to bed it was almost 2am. Friday was a pretty tiring day. I woke up and planned on spending the afternoon walking around. The city is huge, and if I thought traffic in LA was bad, it was nothing compared to this.

After walking around for hours in the heat and the crowds, I got in a cab to go back to my hotel. I was in the cab for way over an hour. Between the Chinese New Year, an oil truck spilling, and the fact that the traffic lights here are on 2 minute cycles, it took FOREVER. I can't complain that much though cause as you can see most of the taxis here are just my style :)

When I finally got back to the hotel I was exhausted. I figured I would indulge in one of my favorite drinks, and luckily it was happy hour and they only use Grey Goose, so I had two of the best cosmos I've ever had and enjoyed the sunset.



Sadly I couldn't make myself stay up past 7pm, so even though I had a great un-interrupted 8 hours of sleep, I've been up since 3am. At least I made myself go to the hotel gym so I'm feeling good about that. I get picked up to go start my program soon. Fingers crossed...
